SOME CELEBRATIONS WORK SMALL.
Documentary photography for a small number of weddings with up to 30 people. Usually fewer. Hamburg and Europe.
WHY SMALL
Photographing weddings taught me one thing.
The moment always belongs to the smallest version of the day.
Not the ceremony hall. The look before it. Not the reception table. The hour after dinner when everyone who stayed was someone who should have been there.
The smaller the day becomes, the more room there usually is for the people who are actually in it.
WHAT I DON'T DO
I do not arrive with a list of moments the day has to produce.
I do not take an hour away from the people you invited to work through formal group portraits. I do not manufacture moments or direct the room.
I work around what is already happening and make the photographs that matter without taking the celebration away from itself.
The day does not have to perform for me.
WHEN I SAY YES
There is no checklist that makes me say yes.
Up to 30 people. Usually fewer. A day built around relationships rather than a programme. A ceremony that means something to you, whether that is in a registry office, a garden, a forest or a restaurant.
Families welcome. Complexity welcome. You do not have to present a simple version of your relationships for the day to fit here.
It is the way you talk about the people who will be there, what you want the day to feel like and whether I can work the way I believe in. Honestly, where it lands in my season matters too.
- HOW I SHOW UP

Quietly. Without a plan sheet.
I'll know the timeline. I won't be running it.
I stay where the real things happen. The side conversations. The moment before. The look across the room.
The photographs I care about most are the ones nobody asked me to take.
- FAMILIES

Blended families. Divorced parents.
Children from previous relationships. LGBTQ+ couples whose families are complicated about it.
I've worked with all of it. I don't need you to present a simple version of your family. I just need you to be them.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We talk before.
Not a formal consultation, just a conversation. I want to understand what the day means to you and what you're hoping to walk away with.
On the day: I show up, I pay attention, I stay out of the way. Afterwards: a gallery that looks like your wedding actually looked.
PRICING

THE FIT
When I say yes
Documentation matters more to you than direction. You want the wedding to feel like your life, not like a production built for photographs.
I take on very few weddings now. The fit is not about prestige, aesthetics or a perfect family. It is about whether I can work quietly, stay close to what is happening and make the kind of photographs I believe in.
Thirty people is the absolute maximum, not a target. Usually, it is fewer. Also not a fit: extensive formal group portraits, detailed shot lists or a day that needs the photographer to direct the room.

Ready to talk about yours?
I take on very few weddings now. Tell me how the day should feel, who will be there and what matters to you. I will tell you honestly whether I think I am the right person for it.
